Your tattoo will likely take between 2-6 weeks to heal
Bandage
Remove the bandage after 1-5 hours, or as recommended by your tattoo artist. Wash your hands before removing it.

Washing
Wash the tattoo gently with fragrance-free, antibacterial soap and warm water. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.

Moisturizing
For the first two days after the bandage is removed, we suggest applying a thin layer of coconut oil or tattoo balm whenever the tattoo feels dry. Then, switch to a small amount of fragrance-free, alcohol-free moisturizer or ointment. You can use an unscented lotion like Cetaphil, Cerave, or Aveeno.
Sun protection
As much as possible, keep the tattoo out of the sun until it's fully healed (usually 2-6 weeks, sometimes longer).

Wear loose, sun-protective clothing or stay in the shade. Don't use sunscreen on a healing tattoo.

What to avoid
While it's okay if your tattoo gets wet, avoid submerging it in water. Avoid bacteria-ridden environments such as gyms. Avoid direct contact with pets or pet dander.
